In 2024 we invited you to come to the Heritage Centre to identify a mystery object and enter a competition to win a gift voucher. We had had lots of entries so thank you for entering the competition. Callum from Scotland won the voucher.
The object was a pan rest for a Victorian kitchen range. When fitted, the amount of heat from the coals under the pan could be regulated by sliding the rest back and forth.
